Dear Respected Brothers and Sisters Asslaamu Alaykum, As noted by our beloved Sheikh in his messages to the community, we made the difficult decision to cancel Jumuah prayers until further notice based on the prevailing health situation and for the safety and security of our community. Our Sheikh also noted we had to make the decision to suspend the 5 daily prayers until further notice.  This is in light of the additional restrictions placed by the State and the City of Newark, and in the greater interest of our community.   We realize that this news may be distressing and disappointing however the number of cases (of the corona virus) in Delaware (and nationwide) continues to increase and this is the right decision to make to ensure the health and safety of our community.

 

Please know that our decisions are informed by guidance from our Imam (Sheikh Abdel Hadi) and our National, State and Local state officials.

 

We recognize that this is an unprecedented moment in our history.  For some, this moment translated to an increase in giving and a heightened desire to belong to a community organization like ISD.  We hope you will consider donating generously via the Donation Page or via ISD Mobile App., so that we are able to meet the current increased need of the less fortunate in our community.
