Friday Parking at Journey Church PDF Print E-mail
Wednesday, 08 July 2015 16:07

Journey Church - 721 East Chestnut Hill Rd (Route 4)

Alhamdulillah, ISD has made arrangement for Friday Parking at the Journey Church on Route 4. Journey Church is located on 721 E Chestnut Hill Rd and is only 6 minutes walk from the Masjid. Left off Salem Church Rd on to Route 4, Journey Church is on the left before 7-11.

We encourage community members to start parking at the new location and avoid parking on the street. The Parking Lot at German Club is no longer sufficient for our needs and the traffic congestion on Salem Church Rd on Fridays have prompted several complaints from residents. It is very important that everyone follow the public parking rules when parking in any of the authorized lots or Salem Church Rd.

  • Do not park on the grass or in the Fire Lane
  • Do not block neighbors Driveway or Mailbox
  • Follow directions from the Traffic Cop when crossing street
  • Do not make left turn from the Parking Lot to the street

The ninth month of the Islamic calendar is called "Ramadan" and it is the most meritorious month of the whole year. Since there are many specific rules peculiar to this, month, we would like to deal with its characteristics in a rather detailed manner under different sections.

The Holy Qur'an has expressly told us that the basic objective for which man is created by Allah is that he "worships" Him:

وما خلقت الجن والإنس إلا ليعبدون   And I did not create Jinn and human beings except that they should worship Me. ]سورة الذاريات:  [  56

The word used by the Holy Qur'an for the worship is "Ibadah" which has a much wider sense than "worship". In English, the word "worship" normally indicates to some specific acts or rituals meant exclusively to show one's reverence to his Creator. But the word "ibadah' is not restricted to such acts or rituals, rather, it embodies any act done in submission to Allah's commands and to seek His pleasures. Therefore,
