ISD CalCalendarFrontendar for the Year 2017 has arrived. Theme of the calendar this year is "Islam In North America". Each day of the Calendar has the Iqama Timings at Masjid Ibrahim for the whole year. This year we have also added Ramadan Iqama and Friday Prayers Timings to the Calendar.

In addition, important Islamic days and public holidays are marked for your convenience. The calendar also includes advertisements from local businesses. ISD 2017 Calendar is available at Masjid Ibrahim, please contact any ISD board member or School office to purchase.

If a person suddenly asks you who your role model is, how would you react? Will you answer truthfully because you know your role model well? Will you think about a satisfactory answer, which sounds good even if it is not true? Will you consider the question to be insignificant and not think about answering it in the first place? Will you be frank and plainly say that you do not have a role model?

Islamic Society of Delaware invites Muslim Boys and Girls of age 11 and above for a day of Enlightenment, Interactive Learning and Fun Activities. The Day Camp is open to Middle School, High School and College students. There will be minimum Lecturing and the emphasis will be on Panel Discussion, Active Participation and Presentations. At the end of the camp, participants should have a clear understanding of who your Role Model should be!!! The Camp is free and lunch and snacks will be provided. Please bring along a Pen and a notebook.

Position Description/Background

The community served by the Islamic Society of Delaware (ISD) is growing and with it comes the challenges and opportunities. The challenge and opportunity regarding our youth is that there are no formal programs to guide their development into becoming productive citizens in our community. Currently, we have a Youth Halaqa on Friday nights hosted by our resident Imam and scholar Sheikh Abdel Hadi. In order to create and manage formal youth programs and maximize the engagement of our youth in productive activities, ISD is looking to create an “ISD Admin / Youth Program Coordinator” position.

This is a full-time, paid position responsible for the development, management, and improvement of youth programs for young Muslim men and women, as ISD administrator, the individual will be responsible for all operation and fiscal management of ISD facility to ensure smooth operation of ISD daily activities and maintenance requirements, maintain and update ISD website, assist ISD Imam as needed and etc.  The ISD Admin / Youth Program Coordinator will report directly to the Executive Committee of ISD and take guidance from Sheikh Abdel Hadi and the Youth Committee Chair.
