End of the Year Fundraising 2017

"THOSE WHO SPEND THEIR WEALTH (IN ALLAH'S CAUSE) BY NIGHT
AND DAY, IN SECRET AND IN PUBLIC, THEY SHALL HAVE THEIR REWARD
WITH THEIR LORD. ON THEM SHALL BE NO FEAR, NOR SHALL THEY GRIEVE.
(AL-BAQARAH 2:274)"

Dear Respected Community Members, Assalamu Alaikum Wa Rahmatullah Wa Barakatuh:

It is that time again for Islamic Society of Delaware (ISD) End of the Year Annual Fundraising on this Saturday December 2, 2017. Please consider buying your ticket in advance to help us with planning of the event.

The goal for this fundraising is to raise $150,000 to support the expenses for 6 months (January to June 2018) and support some of ISD expansion projects.

Alhamdulilah with the help of Allah (SWT) and your help and generosity, ISD was able to provide excellent services to more than 10,000 Muslims in Delaware.  In additional to our normal services provided to our community, ISD now has many specialized committees working towards expansion our facilities, developing and educating our youths and adults, building bridges with other interfaith communities, Daawa team, and many others.

Please take opportunity of this end of the year time and donate generously to your masjid which will be multiplied 700 times by Allah (SWT) Inshaa Allah.

At this time I would also like to express our appreciation and thank everyone for their generous donations made throughout the year and looking forward to seeing you in the fundraising.  May Allah (SWT) except your good deeds and bless all of you with the best rewards for your help and generosity.

We have partnered up with The Stand with Rohingya Project, which is a five week campaign to raise awareness and humanitarian aid for those affected by the recent persecution and genocide crisis.

This initiative was pioneered by Arqum Rashid who currently serves as the Imam and resident scholar at the Islamic Society of Central Delaware in Dover, Delaware and the youth of Delaware. Arqum will personally travel with his team to Bangladesh to deliver the funds, effectively cutting out any administrative costs involved. 100% of the raised funds will be used towards the cause and in aid for the Rohingya people. Tentative dates of travel are December 12th-21st. Once in Bangladesh, he will be working alongside an organization formed by Bangladeshi shuyookh and graduated Ulama from Al-Azhar University.

You can see them go live once in Bangladesh and see your contributions turn into essential resources like food, shelter, and a spark of hope for a better tomorrow. Insh’Allah!
